Chief of Staff

Carla Haywood serves as Chief of Staff to the Alpine Group, having rejoined the firm in 2022 after an extended hiatus. Her career encompasses diverse professional experiences across both public and private sectors, providing her with a unique perspective on organizational leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Haywood first joined the Alpine Group in 2002, bringing valuable experience from her previous roles in the public and private sectors. Prior to her initial tenure with Alpine, Haywood’s experience included service in the White House Visitor's Office during President Clinton's first term, where she gained firsthand knowledge of executive branch operations and protocol management. Haywood later worked in the U.S. Senate for Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona, developing a strong foundation in legislative processes and constituent services.

In between those roles, Haywood served as a Manager of Corporate Events & Sponsorships at MCI, where she developed expertise in strategic event planning, corporate relationship management, and brand positioning through high-profile sponsorships.

As Chief of Staff, Haywood leverages her diverse background to oversee daily operations and strategic initiatives at the Alpine Group, coordinate internal resources to maximize client service delivery, manage key stakeholder relationships across public and private sectors, ensure organizational effectiveness through streamlined processes, and bridge corporate and government expertise to enhance the firm's capabilities.

Haywood resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, fellow Alpine Group member Mike Haywood, and the youngest of their four children. Her family ties to the organization reflect the collaborative and close-knit culture of the Alpine Group.
